This course provides theoretical and practical training to enhance trainees’ marlinspike seamanship skills, meeting the requirements prescribed in Section A-II/5 of the STCW Code, as amended.
Training Outcome/s:
- perform safe working practices
- identify the type of ropes
- tie different types of knots
- tie hitches
- make bends
- whip and seize fiber ropes
- splice three-strand natural and synthetic fiber rope
- splice eight-strand synthetic fiber rope
