Operation and Maintenance of 4-Stroke Diesel Engines

The course aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of engineer officers in operating, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing 4-stroke diesel engines. It covers lectures, discussions, practical exercises which involves starting of 4-stroke diesel engine using simulator and dismantling and assembling of engine components as well as measuring and recording vital data. 

Training Outcome/s:

• operate a 4-stroke diesel engine in a simulated environment
• perform preventive maintenance to 4-stroke diesel engine parts following manufacturer’s instructions
