Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Bunkering and Fuel Tank Operations

This course will provide trainees with knowledge and skills in bunkering and operating liquid natural gas (LNG) and LNG fuel tanks. It follows the procedures and safe working practices required for LNG bunkering and fuel tank operation according to the IGF Code and industry standards.

Training Outcome/s:

  • perform LNG bunkering operations following the IGF procedures
  • perform LNG handling and storage operations

Entry Standard/s:

  • Masters, Deck, and Engine Officers, and all personnel with immediate responsibility for the care of fuels and their systems on ships subject to IGF Code.
  • Any person required by the company to attend the course for familiarization
  • Preferably have attended the Basic Training for service on ships subject to the IGF Code

Duration: 4 training days
