As United Marine Training Center is prominently known as one of the leading providers of upgrading training in the Philippines, it collaborated with Techcross of South Korea to offer a Ballast Water Treatment System course that provides actual operation and maintenance classes of Electro-Cleen Systems, troubleshooting, and demonstration.This collaboration not only enhances the knowledge of maritime professionals but also ensures compliance with international regulations and standards for ballast water management.
Techcross Instructors Kim Gon Yun and Seo Yon Guk facilitated the free two-day pilot class, which was attended by 12 participants, all Deck and Engine Officers from different companies. UMTC Engine Senior Faculty 2/E Ligene Dela Cruz and Training Consultant C/E Yurii Rybakov were observers.
After this course, each participant should be able to:
- Be knowledgeable about the Electrolysis method of Ballast Water Treatment.
- Skillfully operate and monitor Electro-Cleen Systems parameters.
- Effectively maintain and troubleshoot the system.
