The United Marine Training Center, as a beacon of excellence, has earned the prestigious Seal of Integrity for its exceptional quality management systems. This achievement sets a high standard for other institutions and inspires them to strive for similar recognition. By sharing its strategies, best practices, and experiences, UMTC is not just setting an example but also igniting a spark of motivation for industry-wide improvement.

Two respective organizations, Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts and Trades and Laguna Lake Development Authority, visited the training center on 18 March 2024. They were particularly interested in understanding how UMTC achieved the Seal of Integrity, as this recognition sets a high standard for quality management nationwide. The benchmarking process in UMTC involves evaluating performance indicators and gathering customer information to improve their quality management practices.



Engr. During the visit, Donald Bautista, the center's Managing Director, presented UMTC's values and quality policies. Meanwhile, Joselito Pante, the Culinary Training Manager, and Michael Bernardo, the Quality Assurance Manager, highlighted the significance of a structured and systematic approach.




Valuable contributors to achieving the Seal of Integrity were also present during the visit. These include the Quality Assurance associate, Kristine Naga, and the Registrar, Arlene Tagaban. They shared their experiences and insights on implementing effective Quality Management systems. 

The two organizations gained valuable insights during their visit, which will help them improve their quality management practices. They are grateful for the opportunity to benchmark and learn from UMTC.

 

UMTC's success in achieving the Seal of Integrity is a testament to its unwavering commitment to excellence. More than that, it's a promise to the industry that UMTC will continue to share its experiences and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
